When you are in high school, there are few things more nerve-wracking than trying to figure out what to do on a first date. You want it to be somewhere nice, yet you probably aren't making a lot of money at this point, if any at all. You want it to stand out from other dates, but you might not have had so much experience dating that you have a full storehouse of ideas to choose from. You want it to be somewhere that your date will enjoy, but you might not know much about the person yet, either.
So many areas to consider and so much potential for failure can be extremely stressful for most teens. Yet, that first date is still important and it can make all the difference between a first date and an only date. The following are some ideas that you may be able to use to plan a fun date that almost anyone would enjoy, without breaking the bank!
*Summer Dates
Go to the beach for a day of sand and surf
Go to a lake and rent some pedal boats or jet skis
Go hiking together in a beautiful spot of nature, such as a waterfall
Go for a night picnic when there's a full moon and watch for falling stars
Go to a festival or outdoor concert
*Spring Dates
Picnic in the park
Go to an amusement park
Go miniature golfing
Go horse back riding
*Autumn Dates
Take a walk through the fallen leaves
Dinner and a movie is great in the autumn
Walk around a neighborhood that does it up for Halloween
Go bowling
Go to a football game
*Winter Dates
Go ice-skating
Take a walk, or a drive, through the prettiest Christmas lights in town
Do your Christmas shopping together
Take a dancing lesson to get ready for the holiday dance that you hope you'll be going to together
It seems that the theory of dating is being lost on teens today. Often, they do little more than just "hang out" together. What a robbery this is! Dating is a wonderful experience where you can really have fun and get to know someone. It is also something that makes memories that will last for a lifetime. With any of these events, you will want to remember to go equipped with your best manners, clean and tidy attire, and a small gift with flowers always, helps as well.
